About Crowe Paradis
MSA Allocation, MSP Compliance, Medicare Nurse & Lawyer
Crowe Paradis Services Corporation (“CPSC”) is a national Medicare Set Aside / MSP compliance company founded in 2002 by a group of entrepreneurial attorneys with extensive experience in the group disability, workers’ compensation and health insurance markets. We developed a “best in class” approach to the Medicare Secondary Payer (“MSP”) compliance challenge, and delivered these services as needed to clients referred to us by our parent company Crowe Paradis & Albren (“CP&A”). In late 2004, we recognized a growing need in the marketplace for our advocacy approach and we dedicated significant resources to increase our presence in the marketplace and grow the business.
In October 2006, Clarion Capital (www.clarion-capital.com), a New York based private Equity firm, recognized that our approach positioned us uniquely in the industry and committed the funding to help our company expand its sales force, deepen its medical expertise and overall market presence spinning the organization off from its parent company, CP&A.
By combining a best practices legal and clinical approach to the Medicare Secondary Payer compliance challenge, we have become a trusted consultant and provider to the largest insurance companies, third party administrators, and self-insured Fortune 1000 companies in the world. We have been engaged by half a dozen of the world’s largest property and casualty insurance companies to develop their Medicare protocols and practices in both liability and workers’ compensation. Our approach provides our customers a single source solution to the broad spectrum of MSP compliance issues.
We offer the only advocacy-driven, integrated medical and legal approach that delivers a cost-conscious medical analysis layered with an authoritative legal determination. Our Medicare Set Asides create a measure of guidance on settlement language, strategy, and justification for the WCMSA amount not found in our competitor's work product. In addition CPSC’s Medicare set aside attorneys will handle CMS Submissions as well as conditional payment investigations and negotiations. We are also available for CMS discussions and settlement conferences so that you are not alone in the process. Our differentiating strategy for compliance arises from our fair-minded approach to CMS, which combines the most effective aspects of legal and clinical advocacy.
As such, Crowe Paradis delivers the lowest defensible MSA amounts in the marketplace, including effective use of “zero allocations,” “donut hole” calculations, state apportionment opportunities, subrogation credits, and second injury fund liability to reduce unnecessary costs. Our belief is that MSP compliance has elements of negotiation and advocacy. For this reason, we suggest that those suppliers who report 100% first-time compliance rates are relying upon a placating approach to CMS rather than true MSP compliance.
From our work “re-allocating” MSAs from our competitors, we know that our average MSA is more than $104,000 per claim file or 66% lower than the industry average, resulting in significant cost savings on every file. Failure to effectively approach MSP compliance ultimately results in overly-inflated allocation amounts, time delays, high settlement costs, and increased burdens.
We make it easy for you to do business with us. We offer you a convenient, web-based method for MSA allocation referral services. This level of service results in significant savings of time and money. In addition to monthly management reports customized to your specifications, we will provide 24 hour, password-protected access to all of your files through our website.
Through careful coordination, focused execution, and a commitment to honing our capabilities as CMS Medicare medical experts and legal advocates, we will be your best, full-service MSP compliance partner throughout the country. We believe our combined offering will redefine your expectations for this service and differentiate our offerings from those of our competitors.
