Rebecca Pierce, RN, MHS, CRC, CCM, LNCC, CLCP, MSCC, Medical Director

Rebecca Pierce is a Senior Medical Analyst for Crowe Paradis Services Corporation. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in education from Florida State University, a Masters Degree in Health Science, from University of Florida, and an Associate of Science in nursing. She has also attained several professional designations including: Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Certified Case Manager, Legal Nurse Consultant, Certified Life Care Planner, and Medicare Set Aside Consultant Certified.

Ms. Pierce’s prior employment has been as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, specializing in the fields of the hearing impaired population and sign language interpretation and instruction. She was also a coordinator of experimental medication research. Her research abstract, addressing cognitive impact of anti-seizure medications in double blind experimental studies, was presented at the American Epilepsy Society national meeting and published in Epilespia. As a member of the University of Florida Department of Neurology, she was a case manager and clinical assistant working with pediatric and adult seizure patients, specializing in the brain injured population. Ms. Pierce received regional and national educational media awards as co author and supervisor for completion of a patient educational video for potential brain surgery candidates.

For the past 12 years Ms. Pierce has been employed in the field of Workers’ Compensation with demonstrated strengths in catastrophic case management, and since 2001, has specialized in Life Care Planning. She attended the first MSA conference in 2003 and subsequently developed a successful Medicare Set Aside program for a Third Party Administrator. Ms. Pierce has designed and presented numerous educational programs relating to Medicare Set Asides. These have included seminars for the annual Florida Worker’s Compensation Meeting, International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals, various risk management, employer and workers compensation symposiums, and for Medipro seminars.
