Basic Medicare Set-Aside’s (1 hour) – This program is designed to provide training on the fundamental aspects of Medicare Compliance. Topics include: Background, Purpose, Thresholds, Conditional Payments, MSAs, Administration options, Funding options, and 10 overlooked compliance issues.
- Advanced Medicare issues (1 hour) – This program is designed to move beyond the basics of Medicare compliance and focus on issues that can make a difference in resolving complex cases. Legal Advocacy, Denied Claims, Zero Allocations, Challenging Conditional Payments, Medical Advocacy, Pharmacy issues, Utilization review issues, Settlement Strategies, Funding options, Reversionary interests, and Non-Threshold cases.
- CMS Policy Memos (1 hour) – This program walks the audience through the CMS Policy Memos which have shaped this industry. From July 2001 to Present the audience will get an in-depth look at the framework of Medicare compliance.
- Conditional Payments (1 hour) – This program focuses extensively on conditional payments: Statutory framework, Advocacy, Negotiation, Settlement strategies and language.
- Post Settlement Administration (1 hour) – This program takes an in-depth look at administration options. What are the options? What are the risks? What are factors that need to be considered in order to avoid potential exposure?
- Impact of Medicare on Liability Cases (1 hour)– This program takes an in-depth look at the role of Medicare in liability cases: Conditional Payments, MSA’s, Statutory Framework, Industry Trends, Case Law and Legislation.
